Moving home comes with a long to-do list: utilities, council tax, schools, broadband. Registering with a GP is easy to put off until you’re unwell, which is the worst time to do it. If you’ve moved to Edmonton, Lower Edmonton or the area around Edmonton Green in Enfield, Evergreen Surgery is accepting new NHS patients, and you can register online in just a few minutes..

Why register now, not later

Once you’re registered, you can book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, get your test results and be referred to hospital services without delay. Your medical records also move from your old surgery to us, so our clinicians can see your history. If you take regular medication, registering early avoids a gap in your prescriptions.

Where we are

Evergreen Surgery is based at Evergreen Primary Care Centre, 1 Smythe Close, Edmonton, London N9 0TW, right by Edmonton Green station and Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. If you’ve just moved to N9, there’s a good chance you’ll pass us on your way to the market, the bus station or the train.

We welcome patients who live in our catchment area, which covers homes around Edmonton Green, Lower Edmonton, Church Street, Fore Street and the southern part of Hertford Road. Please check whether your address is in our catchment before you register.

Moving into a new home at Edmonton Green?

Edmonton is changing fast. The redevelopment of Edmonton Green Shopping Centre was approved for up to 1,438 new homes alongside new shops and public space, and new residents are arriving across the area. If you’ve just picked up the keys to a new flat nearby, we’re your closest NHS GP practice.

What you’ll need to register

You do not need proof of address, photo ID, an NHS number or proof of immigration status to register online with a GP. It helps to have:

  • your name, date of birth and new address
  • the name and address of your previous GP surgery, if you had one
  • your NHS number, if you know it (find your NHS number)
  • details of any medicines you take and any allergies
  • an emergency contact

Registering with a GP is free for everyone in England. Each person in your household, including children, needs to register separately.

How to register with Evergreen Surgery

  1. Check your address is in our catchment area.
  2. Complete the online registration form.
