Evergreen Surgery has recently been awarded membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) ‘Active Practice Charter’ in conjuction with Sport England. This is a voluntary scheme that recognises GP Practices who have taken steps to improve the health of both patients and staff by increasing activity levels, partnering with local organisations, and trying to prevent (not just treat) chronic diseases. We have set up a ‘healthy lifestyle advice’ service to contact and support patients who are interested in changing their lifestyles to improve their health and increase their activity levels, and have got lots of further things in the pipeline.
